CLEVELAND, OHIO, February 28, 2007 – Cleveland Medical Devices Inc. (CleveMed) is introducing the latest version of the educational laboratory course system, CleveLabs™, using CleveMed’s new wireless 2.4 to 2.485 GHz radio based on Bluetooth® technology. This new version will open many doors in terms of sales and usage, particularly in the international market.

CleveLabs is a laboratory course system that integrates innovative bioinstrumentation hardware and transducers with hands-on learning through interactive software that educates students on instrumentation, electrophysiology and clinical concepts. Lab sessions are designed for biomedical engineering, the health sciences, and pre-engineering for all levels from high school to graduate school.

The original version of CleveLabs operates in the 900 MHz industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) band. Restrictions for this ISM band are common in many countries outside of the United States, limiting the sale of CleveLabs in many international markets. The new Bluetooth version of CleveLabs operates in the 2.4 to 2.485 GHz ISM band, which is available in most countries, thereby positioning CleveLabs for greater international market presence.
