05 FEB 2013: Valley View, OH – Great Lakes NeuroTechnologies (GLNT) announced today the creation of two new scholarship awards to promote and support biomedical engineering education. Two $1,000 scholarships have been made available to Northeast Ohio high school seniors interested in studying biomedical engineering at a college or university in the fall of 2013.
The GLNT Dave Stolarski Memorial BME Scholarship and the GLNT Duncan Lowne Memorial BME Scholarship represent Great Lakes NeuroTechnologies’ commitment to give back to the community. “These scholarships honor GLNT team members who lost battles with diseases that could be impacted by innovations in biomedical engineering”, said Lisa Halasy, HR Coordinator. “It is our hope that these scholarships, which are named for those individuals, will support BME education for students that will impact health care and solve these types of healthcare challenges.”
